Patience
He tends the bus station
Life extinguished in the distance
He will be among the tempted
So nothingness is his shield
he blocks out empty rays
of hope
of love
of the world
for the thought
that something better
is finally approaching his stop
his eyelids will remain tied together
his ears boarded up
his mouth sewn shut
his lust caged
his envy nailed down
the few traits that make him human
bound and gagged
Tricked, he will not be
Steadfastness, unwavering it will be
Blurred, his vision will not be
Pure, his thoughts will be
when his bus pulls in
he will know without a doubt
he will seize it
and squeeze the life out of it
as it will him
