just wait and see
My grandma is in the hospital.
I pray she gets better.
I spend my night crying wondering if grandma is still here.
Every day I ask my mom “is she ok.”
I hear the same thing every day…
“Just wait and see.”
We visit her everyday.
She looks worse with every minute added.
We go home and try to sleep.
We are on our way and mom gets a call.
She starts crying.
“is she ok?” I ask.
but she just replied “just wait and see.”
But when we got there
all there was is a motionless body.
Now I know she’s not ok.
Now the memories hit me
And I cry what seems like days.
But I remember there is nothing to wait and see.
