A Wall Around Your Heart

I see you’ve left your business card
A sharp, broken, glass shard
A token of your love
Girls, remember your protective gloves
She wasn’t ready and I’m warning you
He’s not stuck to you like glue
He’s not always away, though, you should know
All he needs is an angel’s halo
To hide those devil horns
He’s a rose with stabbing thorns
A snowflake that melts the moment it touches your hand
If you want to end up with him, forget the wedding band
There’s no end to guys like these
Who cares about your pleas?
You’re just another messed up girl
A baseball he’s ready to hurl
Into an old ex’s face
She couldn’t help but love his embrace
She was never ready for the cheats and lies
Now we all know she sits at home and cries
Just like the others he’s discarded
Remember to always leave your heart guarded
This sounds cheesy but it’s a warning
No one wants to see you mourning

I'm a fan of your writing already.

Not much to criticize about this one.

I like it. It flows, it tells a story, and it's how a lot of guys are. You tell it like it is.

Love it.
