Fires
Screaming and shrieking poisonous words
Then come the lies that it never occurred
Tears hit the paper fast and thick
Like wax melting off a candlestick
As I write down tonight’s event
The one thing you’ll never, ever prevent
I can’t get away from all the fighting
Can’t stop the fire that keeps igniting
I wish you could stop bugging me
Just let me say what I want and be free
When can I get out of this state?
Your love is a lie, a lie so great
Really, I can’t help but laugh
For the smiles we fake for photographs
Just another lie to add to the pile
I thought this had ended, I’m no child
Yet that is once again a lie
I’ll never grow if I can never try
