Standing Alone In Thought

October 6, 2010

I look around the room
I see kids playing
And teens talking
But I am the only one alone
The only one without a friend
to talk to
So I stand there thinking to myself
wouldn't it be wonderful to have a friend who cared
wouldn't it be great to feel loved and important
But then I think wouldn't the world be better
If I were not in it
wouldn't it be great if I died
and was gone forever
I look around the room once more
and think not one of them would care
If I were buried tomorrow they would not shed a tear
For I am alone and shall leave the world that way
As I look around the room one last and final time
I think to myself
I have no friends dear Jesus
What has the world become

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem so people realize that no matter how different people can be they are still humans and God loves them so why can't we love them too. I also wrote this because I am one of those people who has no fiends.
