In darkness
And despair
There is hope
Somewhere

Those who bring joy
To a world filled with pain
Are true heroes

Without them we would die
Our world would be cursed

But for that hope, one must find it
By looking quite often
Hope comes
Hope goes
Joy fades
When new joy grows

The bravery it takes
To talk to a hero
Is hard to come upon
For fear of destruction

The author's comments:
This is about a hero. Everyone in life has someone that has helped them, or even made them happy. They are heroes. By fighting away the 'dark feelings' that many people have and are happy even for an hour, they were saved the pain of that time.
