Left Me
Innocence has gone and left me far behind
To languish through this winter and awkward times
Oh, if only I could ever be able to find
A way out of suffering for these unwarranted crimes
Speed has gone and left me in its wake
I now travel tenderly as in a china shop
Everything in me is near to break
Energy of youth, I have been forced to stop
Life has gone and left me blood dry
To only lay helpless with everyone at bedside
My only inclination is to breathe and cry
But too much time has gone for me to abide.
