Caterpillar
A caterpillar
 Green and plump
 Inching;
 Inching but going nowhere
 Scrunching and folding in and out
 On that little branch

 No sound, no smell
 Just a caterpillar
 Small and fuzzy
 Inching;
 Inching but going nowhere
 Magnified by close up view

 Three minutes turns into eight hours
 And caterpillar disappears
 I wake somewhat puzzled
 A caterpillar? Really?
 My brain-complex
 This simplicity-baffling
