Your love for me is like a cape;
When you’re wrapped around me
I feel like I can fly
like I’ve suddenly transformed into a
Superhero
with the strength to lift a thousand cars.
Your love for me is like a shield;
Propped in front of me
absorbing the blows of this world.
Gripped to my arm
protecting me; keeping me safe.
Your love for me is like kryptonite;
The one thing that makes me
weak in the knees.
The one thing that can
break down the walls I’ve put up
and make me surrender
Everything.
