How To Breathe
You held me bright
Into the night
You made me feel loved
Like there was a power from above
I hugged you tight
And felt alright
As you showed how much I glowed
You were there
To prove you cared
And to hold me
To give me pride and dignity
You don’t judge
Or keep a grudge
Even when I lied
But secretly I cried
You saw the world
Through the eyes of a girl
You felt the pain
And saw me sitting in the rain
You touched my face
As my heart started to race
The fear in my eyes
To see that everyone dies
I heard what you said
As you cradled my head
Until I fell asleep
It was you inside that I started to keep
You worried so much
As you felt my shaky touch
You told me it’ll be ok
And you stayed with me until the very next day
You wanted to help so bad
Because you knew I was very sad
You refused to leave
Until I continued to breathe
Time past and I was fine
And then I kept you as mine
But you helped me through
And you made me fall in love with you
