“In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe.”

Holding my Family
Watching them smile
Holding them tighter
Seeing them cry
Hugs of hellos and hugs of good byes
Then the special hugs when there was no reason why
Holding a body still warm
While someone gently tugs on my arm
“I'm so sorry for your loss” they say
“let me know what you need ok?”
Well I need them back to stop
My pain. To see them again , there’d be no
greater gain.
Until then to heal with the hurt
Raised lines hide under the sleeves of my shirt
How I long to use them to deal with my joy
Instead of my pain, like some emo kids toy.
