I try to tell you why
Why I did what I did
But you but me off
Do you know my pain?

I have reasons for my crime
And why I didn't do what I should
But you don't care
Can you feel my pain?

I guess you can't
That much is evident
But you don’t have to channel
Your anger at me

You tell me not to be rude
But you’re doing just that
I hate hypocrites, yes I do
I really don’t mean to attack

But I can’t stand it much more
When I try to defend
You just cut me off
You don’t comprehend my pain

Here I am moping
Complaining about you
This won’t get me anywhere
But I am in pain

So please, I beg you
Know, feel, comprehend my pain
Listen, just listen
And you might feel the same

As I do when I say
“I’ve got an opinion
You’ve got one too
So listen, just listen”

Hear my cry
Hear my pain
Do it for me now
So this won’t happen again
