You rattle my cage
You're a thorn in my side
through all the time passed
My bitterness won't hide
It surfaces in the shadows
And wallows in my heart
flowing of my thoughts
From the never ending start
I'm not sure I'm quite finished
Feeling sorry for myself
It's hard to think that all you are
Is a memory on my shelf
So all I can do is wait
For the wounds completely to heal
Though my hope is quite a fantasy
The scars are always real
