Summer Love
I feel my stomach fill with butterflies
As your eyes meet mine.
We sit there in silence
All we hear is the rain beat down
On the roof of your car.
I sit there crying
You try to wipe the tears away.
Suddenly you hold my face in your hands
Smile down at me and say
“Don't worry about all the fighting your safe with me”
Then you laid your lips upon mine
You sent my heart racing
Time seemed to freeze
I thought it had lasted a lifetime
But reality set in
And the night came to an end
Summer was over
For us that night.
It was time to go home
And you leave you behind.
So the last thing I wanted to let you know
You'll always be in the back of my mind.
And soon enough we will fall back into
Summer Love.
