Strong to the bone
Bigger than an average man
As we look into each other’s eyes
Seeing the fear we both share
Clumsy, big, brown, paws,
With a shaggy coat to wear.
Dependent on your tender touch,
I am your teddy bear.
Proud, loyal, fearful for my cubs,
The pale hunter won’t touch you.
Though protecting and nurturing may burden me,
Solely I enjoy everyday
