As I drive by I see you;
I hear the rattle against my window
your gnarled tree limbs
covered in the greenest leaves
turn to precious gold in autumn
then bare in winter
unique and extraordinary all
You provide comfort and safety
on my stormy days.
Your rough bark
feels smooth to my touch
I see you glisten in the sun's rays
wet with sparkling gems
You dance with the wind
making your own
distinctive rhythm.
Every time I see you
it's an instant replay
of every prized memory
ever made
I'm glad to call you
My tree

This is so lovely. I love the way you depict your love for this tree. It really makes it seem very special. It's like the tree is guarding you at night. Thanks for sharing this. Five stars!! Do you mind checking out a few of my works. It would mean a lot. Thanks.
