Everyday is a battle
All my life I've fought for what I thought was right,
Now disgusted, disappointed, and daring
I shall keep fighting for my rights,
To help complete that goal, I joined the Sharecroppers Union who fight for what I believe,
I became a successful farmer in the south ,
That accomplishment pays a heavy price though,
White men attempt to set financial traps for me as If I was a mouse in their house,
These people on the edge of their seats to see if I haven't paid this months bill,
Finally, to finish my life, I have been locked behind bars,
After all my hard work this is how life pays me back
