Hotel Pool
You go down the elevator
It can’t go fast enough to get to the pool
As you open the doors to go outside
You get off and get overwhelmed by
The smell of chlorine it
Presents a wonderful scene
And it smells so odd, but refreshing
It’s perfect, the sun glistening off the warm water
When I dive in I feel weightless, like I’m resting upon a cloud
When I go under, further and further
I’m testing my breath
Because I want to stay under as long as I can
When you’re below the water
All you that you can hear
Are the light waves that you have created by diving in
Now you get out
You’re so cold you wish to go back in
You grab a towel to dry off
And once you get all the water out your ears
You go up the elevator
And it can’t go fast enough to get you too your room
