Realization
Memories slowly
Slowly slipping through my fingers.
Each a forgotten moment,
In the timeline of our lives,
Each memory is just an empty thought,
And soon those empty thoughts,
Turn into words
words unspoken, but felt
And in that heated moment of quietness,
Those unspoken words,
Suddenly form into words,
Words of contempt.
And in the heat of the moment
The words “I’m done”
Slip out in a whisper
Giving us that release we wanted.
But staring into each other’s eyes,
We both feel something more than love.
And we know, to be apart,
Is just another unspoken feeling.
And seconds later our harshness of words,
Are silenced by an embrace,
Knowing our love will never die out.
And suddenly those release of words,
And fears that escaped from our lips,
Where all answered,
All answered in a blink of an eye,
All answered in a realization.
