Within your eyes I saw a spark,
It could've been the heat of love.
You seemed to be an angel
Sent from the skies above.
Within your eyes I saw the stars,
Glittering in the dark.
Softer and more beautiful
Than that initial spark.
Within your eyes I held the world,
And saw the things you'd seen.
From childhood to where we are,
I went everywhere you'd been.
Within your eyes I saw us,
Standing hand in hand,
Ready to take on the world,
And beginning to understand.
