"Enjoy when you can, and endure when you must." ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

The flames in one another,
Blazing through their eyes.
Others cry,
In anguish and shame,
Tears beneath the brightening red flame…
The fiery light burns the one who dares go near it,
Causing chaos for all who have the courage to hear it!
The flame in all of us
Has rung its name,
Sprung its wings,
To have no shame
And fly…
Causing no pain,
tearing down those who bring such a bad name
To all those living
In deep fear.
Saving those he held dear
From the destruction that goes on.

A song by one of my favorite band's made me think. So I wrote this poem in the name of a song that had inspired me and it's also based on a civil war story that I made for english back in middle school.
