Under the Moon

The moon rose
above the land.
A looming figure
and so I ran.
The bright light
guiding me
to where I truly
wish to be
A life under the moon
I wish to lead
it's the ONLY thing
I really see
nothing else comforts
nothing I have found
and I remain
forever joyed
until the Sun's
First light

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem because my cousin wanted me to write a poem for her birthday about the moon.
