I am a poet
I string together syllables and rhymes
To make a maze
So long and deceiving
You get lost and can never find
The original meaning
I am a storyteller
I weave characters and plots
Like threads
Into my net of lies
Building something so incredible
You can't help but think it's true.
I am a writer
Mixing parts of speech together
To create a menu
Full of word choice
So delectable and tantalizing
You drown in it.
