My thoughts about you
The way your eyelashes rim your eyes
Like curtains to a show
The audience is only me
A spectacle that must be seen
They dance
They scream
They laugh
They weep
The way your hand feels against mine
Like the handles on my bike
Guiding me wherever they please
In their grasp
They love me
Hate me
Spite me
Tame me
The way you laugh at my words
Your voice caught in your mouth
Your hungry breaths searching for air
The words I wish you could’ve heard
You didn’t listen
Forgot
Didn’t care
The way you called at half past two
Your voice a fragment of what it was
The coarse voice not what I knew
The tentative hello’s not there
You make me wish to get away
Get on a car and drive
To nowhere
You make me sick
A disease no medicine will repair
You give me pain
My heart aches
This constant beat
Dancing
Screaming
Laughing
Weeping
Pressing against
My muffled chest
Push it apart
Away
Leave me alone
I’m insane
But is it your fault?
I can’t say
I can’t believe
You’d do this
To me
