The Fire
A fire.
burning with an opalescent flame.
It spreads through your body.
Your mind is confused and the fire can not be tame.
You try to close your eyes.
The flames overwhelm your fragile body.
You try to breathe
but the sensation will not leave.
the flames arise with the oxygen in your breath
A tear then caresses your cheek
I fee more pain but now i know im weak
then the teardrop touches my lip
all the sudden Im relieved
I sob and cry
until the burning sensation is no longer conceived.
and finally i can breathe.
i stop my bawling and wipe off the tears
but there it is again
i can feel a flame still there
burning with my fears
a fire once a fire
burning with an opalescent flame
i think ive gone completely and irrevocably insane.
