Hung With Frames
I walk by the edge
Of the street
And see a store
Hung with frames
thinking nothing of it
not even noticing
the little old man
sitting in a chair
behind the cash register
in a store,
on the edge
near the street.
Living in a world
Filled with billions
Who walk the streets,
Run through the halls,
and walk everyday
Next to all the Empty walls
it’s hard to
remember
that without
noticing the
little things
like a smile
or years of dedication
that there’s no
room for recognition
or time for realization
to notice all the frames
hung individually
one by one
by the old man
who works all day
over there-
in the store,
on the edge
near the street.
