Love has cast its shadows onto our hearts;
What if time will take love’s shadows away?
Death forces our lives to be kept apart,
Hasten the past, and our futures delayed.
It’s treason, we say, that we cannot dream,
Or wish that time could be in our control.
You and I both have created a scheme,
That will be kept within my very soul.
For as long as the sun will share its light,
Our shadows will always be kept awake.
But as life moves on, and day becomes night,
The sky will fall down and the ground will shake.
So when time catches up and takes our hand,
We must adhere to its hateful command.

The author's comments:
I want people to realize that love is not something that can be taken for granted. The slightest fragmenation can ruin the bond of love, so people must be aware of these misfits, and love while you can... because once death takes over us, it is too late to fix your regrets.
