"Good writers are monotonous, like good composers.Their truth is self-repeating... They keep trying to perfect their understanding of the one problem they were born to understand" (Alberto Moravia).

Rejection can be like dissection
It can hurt
I t can pain you
That’s true
There’s nothing you can do about it
But to move on without a hit
It’s hard to comprehend
How can you bend?
Something that cannot be right the first time
Is there some sign
That can show greatness?
Rejection for some great big part
It can stab you in the heart.
They say no part is too small
So be a doll
Grin and bear it.
Well I’m not grinning and I cannot bear it.
Time and time again
The same old rejection
Is there something that I don’t understand,
If there is no part too small,
Then why do they call it
An Ensemble?

The author's comments:
I was a little put down when I tried out for the recent school play and wasn't included in the Callback list for either of the two Characters that I tried out for. Although I thought I nailed the audition. I hope people will get some type of comfort out of it if its comforting at all.
