Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Learn from it; tomorrow is a new day. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Sharp diamonds
The ones
That twinkle
From behind sheets of black

A Bucket
A million gallions of sparkles
Knocked over
Into the clouds

The outcome
An example
A map through the atmosphere
Guiding me home

A sturdy bridge
Strong enough to hold my hope
Connecting me
To my own piece of mystery

Luminous souls
That shout light
To the children of their child
Lighting my path

Petite white birds
Awake for the night
No longer hidden
Behind the glowing sun

Their song
reflected back
Off the ocean
Reaches out to my ears

I look up
Never down
Spinning gentley
In little circles
Hoping
When I fall
I will end up
By the christmas lights in heaven
