forgotten
Always compared and second best
Never loved fully or even complemented
I love myself why you can’t
She’s pretty but so am I
Why and I put in the back of your mind
Why don’t I get a goodbye hug or even a wave
It’s not fair to be forgotten but I am
I try so hard to get your attention but it never works
I stand beside you apparently invisible
Always forgotten never wanted
I may be dramatic but so are you
A sit and listen to your problems
And yet mine don’t exist to you
I’m afraid to confront you,
Because I might lose you
