Untitled
Golden streaks of morning sun shining through your bedroom window
Shadows lie across your face left by darkness from the night
Your fragile heart burns with hatred and tears sting your eyes
Yet still you long for her gentle touch, your arms around her waist
I wish that I could tell you how worthless she really is
Show you life is bigger than just a simple kiss
But in your world of pain, no light can creep through
No matter what I say or no matter what I do
From the eyes of a caring mother there can be nothing worse
Knowing your son cannot be healed in anyway by you
Time becomes our only friend and the only remedy
I’ll sit back and hope you’ll come back to me
