Blank Paper in the Corner
In my room
In the corner
Lays a solitary piece of blank paper
It's white as snow
completely clean
and unmarked
A gentle breeze scatters the dust
That had made the paper its
resting place
Once a living thing
Now lifeless and without a pulse
No longer does it dance in the wind
I can just imagine
All the uses it holds
a paper airplane
a safe to hold my untold secrets
a note to share my thoughts
a frame to display my masterpiece
a window to show my ideas
or just a piece of paper to show my hard work
But I won't
I won't use it.
In my room
In the corner
lays a solitary piece of blank paper
...and it shall remain there until my story is complete
