Am I Right or Left?

the shadow of the summer
still lingers over me
the promise of tomorrow
more like a burden that i keep
never sure of whether its worth the wait
or if what we are is
all we will ever be
and promises like kisses
memories fade over time
and all the while you're still waiting
for me to make up my mind
please dont make me out to be
something that im not
dont count on a forever when i am still not sure
and i don't want to hurt you
but i can't help but feel like its not right
