Lonely One

Grief has never hit me so hard
Tear after tear falls from my face.
The pain is almost unbearable.
I miss you so much.
It seems like only yesterday we were together.
Now I’m alone. Separated, and all I can do is think about you.
Begging to hear your sweet melodic voice
Wishing to see your understanding eyes
And urging to be around your loving personality
The pain is almost unbearable.
I sink into great despair.
“Please, Please God,” I cry
“Let me see her again.”
There is a great silence.
Days pass
I slowly thin out
Sleep is almost impossible
And again I cry unto God,
“Please, Please God let me see her again!”
As I close my eyes I can hear your voice.
I start seeing an image of you.
Is this real?
I see every moment I had with you.
I quickly open my eyes, but again there is silence.
Slowly, I close my eyes again
I see every moment we had together.
I see your understanding eyes,
Hear your sweet melodic voice,
Feel your loving personality,
But this time my eyes stay shut and never shall I see you again
