Ponder This

I wonder if she knows,
Who she even is.

I wonder if she knows,
What my real feelings are for her,
What I wish we could be.

I wonder if she knows,
Why I laugh when nothing's funny,
Why I stare at her when she's not looking,
Why our hug lingers a moment longer than most.

I wonder if she knows,
Where I'm coming from,
Where it will be discovered,
Where it will be celebrated,
Where we'll go once we've found it.

I wonder if she knows,
When I say "her", I mean her,
When I act all giddy and nervouse it's for a reason,
When I see her my whole day is brightened,
When I'm alone I think about her,
When she understands it, she's all mine.

I wonder if she knows,
How much she means to me,
How nervous I am about making things awkward,
How happy I am around her,
How crushed I'd be if we lost what we already have,
How much I understand her worries,
How I only want what's best for her.

I wonder if she knows,
It's okay to be her, and be confused,
Insecurities are normal.
I'd never hurt her.

I wonder if she knows,
I love her.
