No Escape

August 4, 2010
You run behind a tree.;
behind a door.
You shield yourself with a wall;
shield yourself with your best friend.
Inside a house you think you feel safe,
but you hear it pounding on the door;
seeping in through the windows.
You run and run and run,
but everywhere you go,
you can't get away from it.
Simply put,
you cannot hide from the wind.
It will always find you.

I love the ending! I didn't know what to expect, what was chasing? And then in the end it was the wind. I really liked your poem.
