Hope is a fickle friend.
Marks set go for driving you round the bend,
It keeps you running when time are rough.
Arm the battlements. Life is tough.
When hope is gone my world is bleak,
I guess I’ve learned to turn my cheek.
I know my wish will not come true,
But you won’t see me looking blue.
I’ve faced the facts and know the truth,
I’ll be alone, I need no proof
However with hope by my side i sure am glad
Well ya know, life’s not so bad.
