A year ago, I was just like you
our laughter rung out among us two
our apprehensions and secrets intertwined,
the love shared all too kind…
This was a year ago,
Now emotion runs down in droplets only
You wonder when the spark diffused so easily,
My friend, 365 days ago…
365 days ago, when the wind tore us apart
only for the unnatural to seize my happy heart
I am but only remnants of your friend
forlorn and craving the fiend,
My dearest, duty of remedy has become yours unduly
If only it was a year ago, I would remain forever yours truly
