Last night while you were sleeping..

Last Night while you were sleeping,
my time on Earth ended,
As God called my name,
angels came down to lead me home,
I didn't want to leave you,
for I love you very much,
I hope you understand,
my time on earth ended,
I'll be waiting for your arrival
at the golden gated of Heaven,
with an angel at my side,
a smile on my face and outstretched arms.
Just know I wanted you to be with me as I closed my eyes and died but, this all happened last night while you were sleeping.

The author's comments:
I wrote this shortly after my grandma died. I was really depressed because she didn't seem to be ill. She knew she was dying because she was a nurse and she and my grandpa were going to the doctor that morning. She went in the bathroom and had some kind of heart attack. She died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital on November 9th,2009.
