i'm not going to write about a once upon a time
with fairytale endings or happily ever afters

instead i'll write about the truth
i'll write about what's in between the lines
or the stomach-in-your-throat feeling and flat-lined hearts
i'll write about reality and stars never wished upon
or time passing by
i'll write about something real with a non-fiction start
or something with a cliff hanger's end
