I'm on a Walk

I’m on a walk
Because I’m tired of this.
I need to get away.
I’m on a walk
Because the yelling is getting to my head
The door slamming is driving me up the wall.
My sanity is on its breaking point.
I deserve a break.
I’m on a walk
Because I’m angry.
At you.
And the silent, angry spell you cast over the house.
That comes from everyone’s anger building up on each other.
It’s sick and it’s wrong.
I’m on a walk
Because I’m sad.
Because I want it to end
So bad
Even though it’s been like this for 16 years.
I’m on a walk
Because I need to think
About all this madness
Where it comes from, what it means,
But I’ve never found out.
I’m on a walk
Because I need to.
I can’t hold it all in.
I eventually need to let go.
I’m on a walk.
No one’s stopping me.
I guess you don’t care, then.
Because you know it’s only for a while.
But this time it’s different.
I’m on a walk
And I’m never coming back.
I don’t know where I’m going
But at least it’s away from
This hellhole I call home.
I’m on a walk.
To run.
