My Freedom
Each tear I cry
Is a layer of my stinging memories
 I watch desperately
As the pain stained into my blood
 Finally fades to a faint
 Drip by drip
 Scream by scream

 Each night
 I dream myself away
To a world where nothing can touch me
Where the blaze cannot scorch my skin
Where the silence cannot scream in my ears
And the guilt cannot saturate my veins

 Each mile I run
 Burns off the sorrow
 My fears frozen into place
Like an ice cube locking away the truth
As I escape the darkness of life
My pathway lit with the hope for a better tomorrow
