Hunger

We’re all hungry
For something

Ravenous and ready
To scarf down
As much as we can
As fast as we can

My hunger hurts me
It gnaws at me at night
My desperation stings
I want, I want

Yet oddly enough
My hunger sustains me
It gives me purpose

Hunger feeds my drive
To finish this journey
To find fullness

This is about intense desperation for something that is missing in your life. I hope that people will think about they are hungry for. Me, I'm hungry for a grilled cheese.
