The Same

In a tiny corner of the world,
neatly tucked into a manicured lawn,
Protected by gates and fences
There lived a girl
Hiding,
Tiny,
Enclosed in her safe home,
Feeling,
Thinking,
Within the confines of her own little space,
But she wondered
What lay beyond
Oceans, Jungles, Fame, Glamour
They all seemed so far away,
Tucked quietly into a corner of her mind
The urge to break free,
Flap her wings,
Take flight
They called to her
Whispered her name
But she still remained the same
She still remained the same
The same...
The same...
Forever

I wrote this after seeing the regular kids in my school become carbon copies of the more popular kids. Self expression is something you definitly dont see a lot of and it made me sad because some people were getting lost in the background
