goodnight, my friend
will you be there till the end?

would you tell your secrets
to a person like me?

a person you don't know,
a person you know?

What kind of friend am I,
to be so trusted? so loved?

I'm not any kind of friend.

I'm just a friend.

A friend who will do anything for you.
a friend who knows.

A friend who knows not to say anything.

A friend to listen
a friend to soothe
a friend to hate.



So
Goodnight, my friend
I'll be there till the end
