If I could
Stop time,
You would be the
First person to know.
It feels like we have all
The time in the world,
But when it comes down
To it, we really have
Nothing at all.
Our goodbyes are stitched
Together with anguish,
And our parting moment
Always seems to come
Too soon.
But how could it not,
When we want to stay
In each other's company
Forever?
Every second with you
Is cherished,
Even if we're only
Lounging around with
Nothing to do.
So, I'll stop time.
Because I want to
Lie here for eternity,
Caught in darkness with you.
