Just a girl
with a simple dream
all the world is a stage
and her thoughts
are all that is left
without warning, taking everything
breaking her down again
sweet pain , render her helpless
in the cold dark world
Love is a broken fairytale
spoken in free verse
telling us we need not fear
for we know in the end
it will see is through
Will it really I ask?
As I sit here
with the darkness of my mind
as it toys with me
in the solitude of misfortune
leaving me empty and cold
where has all the love gone ? where are the children laughing?
The streets are slient
and the music is dead
life holds no more hope
for the departed soul
and the calling of the brave
are very few
where life was once a way of meaning
and people spoke of a certain god
the colors were brighter
the leaves darker
now the world is a cold, void place
taking everything in its path
it watches as we fall
surrender to all its glory
so here we go again
falling to the effortless end ~
