We are the world
We are the champions
NOT
We are little people
barely recongnizable
That is reality
In our imagination
we are superheros
invincible,strong
In reality we are human
weak and fragile
We are the world
We are the champions
NO
But we could get close to that
by dreaming big
making a difference
never backing down
We are the world
We are the champions
but barely
just barely

The author's comments:
I got the idea for this poem as a song came on the televison. Immediately I thought "We are the world.We are the champions," and the rest of the words just came out. I hope that when people read this they will try and make a difference in their community, school, etc. and follow their dreams to be a writer like I'm doing or anything else that they dream of being.
