Stuck Together
We’re like puzzle pieces.
From separate puzzles.
You’re a piece from a
Master puzzle- with hundreds
Of other pieces that work together
To form something amazing.
I’m a larger, more irregularly
Shaped piece,
Belonging to a simple,
Slightly childish design.
And for a little while,
We could mash together comfortably.
But we don’t belong with each other.
You aren’t a piece of me.
You and I don’t work together,
Combined, we don’t create something.
We don’t form a picture together.
You’re wonderful on your own.
You just aren’t my other half.
But for now, I’d like to stay
Mashed up like this.
