Daughter and Father

As a girl stood there looking towards the stars she knew that heaven wasn't too far.
Cause of the pain and heartbreak throughout her 5 years, she knows that living on earth will never compare.
Her father knows this very well since he was the one to wish her farewell.
Now she stands there praying to God to keep her father safe from harm.
Since he is a soldier strong and brave, she hopes he'll return with great and exciting things.

This is the suspence many go through as their loved ones are fighting but for who?
Who is peace as we all wish for, so take a moment and remember those who are.

There was a sudden creak coming from inside the house, then she picked up her teddy and ran faster than a mouse.
Through the bush garden and then a step into the house.
Stood a man, tall with bags in hands.
She smiles and jumps into his warm arms, thanking God for bringing the man she loves home safe from harm.
